Upcoming Programs

September - Chrisma Horton will be our presenter for the September meeting. She is a wife, mom to 6 and longarm quilter. She started her business in 2010 while in college full-time. Due to the high demand of her flourishing business and large family, she decided to quit college and pursue the dream of being a quilt artist full-time.
She has worked with people from all over the world while being home with her family. She loves all types of quilts from modern to traditional and enjoys the challenge of trying new things and growing her craft.

According to Jenny Doan, Charisma Horton is pattern-writing royalty, and she’s only been at it since 2018! After years of long-arm quilting, Charisma took a leap of faith to try her hand at pattern design. In just 3.5 years, she has published over 300 patterns and been featured in 75 different magazines. Charisma's quilts have also been featured on the covers of several magazines already this year! You also may have seen Charisma on a YouTube video! We hope you will join us for this fabulous presenter!! Just a reminder, if you aren't a member of the guild, there is a $10 guest fee OR, you may want to pay your $25 dues for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, which starts this month!

November - Thelma Moyer will be our presenter for November. Thelma had enjoyed several different art forms when her neighbor introduced her to quilting in 1997 through West Sound Quilters. The feel of the fabrics, the colors, creative possibilities, making something useful as well as beautiful and the wonderful, helpful friends drew her in. Quilting has taken her places she never thought she would go and recognitions she never dreamed she would see. From receiving awards at International shows, being invited to be Artist in Residence for a prestigious Empty Spools Seminar, raising money for good causes, making comfort quilts to doing trunk shows and lectures at many local guilds; quilting has brought so much to her life. She enjoys sharing what she has learned with others. She looks forward to sharing her work and this wonderful obsession with all of you.

March - Lori DeJarnatt, Quilter and Blogger will be the presenter at our March, 2023 meeting.

Lori took her first quilt class in 1993 and has been quilting ever since.  She states that she is inspired by vintage quilts and started to reproduce them.

You can view her blog at www.humblequilts.blogspot.com. Lori is also on Facebook as Humble Quilts.

WORKSHOPS
We usually have workshops several times a year.  Unfortunately, COVID cramped our style and we hope to resume workshops in the near future.  When we do have workshops, registration is first come first serve and members are given priority. If non-members wish to register, they will be welcome after members sign-up with an additional fee of $10.00.
